    Hybrid Technical Support Specialist (Multiple Roles)

    Job Description

    Working within the Nimbus Managed Services team, the Technical Support Specialist is vital to the success of our Managed Service business. In this role you will be based at our Belfast office with the option to work both remotely and in our office.  At times you will be required to travel to customer sites to undertake the functions of your role.

    Whilst you will have the support of the wider Nimbus Managed Service team, the role will require regular autonomous working at customer sites with a focus on providing a broad range of technical problem solving / network management skills as well as building strong relationships with the customer base and ensuring contractual compliance against KPIs and SLAs.

    Apply for the Hybrid Technical Support Specialist (Multiple Roles) Job Role

      Main Duties / Areas of Responsibility (List is not exhaustive)

      • Supporting and maintaining MS Windows 7/8/10 users.
      • Provide competent Office 365 administration.
      • Setting up and configuring new laptops, desktops, tablets and phones.
      • Working with 3rd party vendors you will be responsible for facilitating or installing authorised software.
      • Ensuring antivirus, security patches and O/S upgrades are applied to appropriate devices and kept up to date.
      • Diagnosing and resolving a broad range of technical issues.
      • Undertaking IT projects – these will require working either autonomously or with your colleagues from the technical team.
      • On occasions you may need to attend customer sites to act as their IT point of contact.

      SELECTION CRITERIA:

      Essential

      • Previous experience providing support & implementation within a busy technical services environment.
      • Microsoft Windows, Office & Server Experience
      • Good understanding of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
      • Understanding of network infrastructure, VMware, Citrix, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points, Firewall and Backup Technologies
      • Good working knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Cloud Stack.
      • Strong multitasking & problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication, customer handling and inter-personal skills
      • Strong planning, organising and prioritising abilities.
      • Flexible to cope with change, be proactive and adapt quickly to a developing type of service delivery.
      • Flexible to visit client sites both in UK & Ireland as and when required.
      • Full current UK driving licence and own transport.

      Desirable

      • MCP qualified or IT related certification / experience
      • Experience using RMM toolsets in the past
      • Use of InTune & Azure Administration
